An FAQ page (frequently asked questions) is often neglected. Yet it is one of the most powerful tools for AEO and conversion.
Why? Because it provides exactly the format that search engines and AI love: question + direct answer.
Here’s how to build the perfect local FAQ section:
1. Collect real questions
Don’t make anything up. Listen to your phone support or your employees.
- “Do I need to make an appointment?”
- “How long will the repair take?”
- “Can I park on site?”
- “Do you accept credit cards?”
2. The format: short and sweet
Write the question as the headline. The answer should get straight to the point in the first sentence. Question: “Do you also offer home visits?” Answer: “Yes, we make home visits within a 15 km radius of [neighborhood]. We charge a flat rate of…”
3. Schema markup for FAQs
This is where technology comes into play: we can store these FAQs on your WordPress website using a special code (schema markup). The result: Google can display these questions directly in the search results – even before anyone clicks on your page! This often doubles the screen space you occupy in the search results.
4. Local reference
Use questions to incorporate local keywords. “Where can I find parking in [city name]?” is better than just “Where can I park?”.
More than just SEO
Good FAQs take the pressure off your phone. If customers can find the answer online, they don’t need to call to ask standard questions. This saves time for the really important conversations.
